Beatrice’s career was born out of such a strong passion that is difficult to summarise in a few sentences. She is half French and half Italian, and lives in Milan. She has been passionate about cosmetics since she was a child, and decided to self-teach while in High School. She then decided to study Pharmacy in Milan, and in 2016 she was chosen to lead a weekly cosmetics class. Since 2017, via Airbnb Experiences, she has been teaching in-person classes on how to create natural bio cosmetics: a two hour session to discover how every day cosmetics are made, skin consultations and the production of bespoke products. The courses are both in Italian and English, and contact with people from around the world is what brings her energy. Since the lockdowns around the world, Beatrice has been one of the first 50 worldwide experiences chosen by Airbnrb to bring their classes on live online sessions. Beatrice has recently embarked on another big project, and has co-founded the e-commerce Yes Ysabella that distributes natural and bio cosmetics.
What is your idea of perfect happiness?: My idea of happiness needs to involve my work. Working in the cosmetics world is first of all a passion for me. For this exact reason I could not imagine a happy future without the job I love.
What is your current state of mind?: We are going though difficult times, but in my small world I feel satisfied. I am happy with what I have so far achieved, but I still remain ambitious and aware of the fact that there is still a long road ahead of me.
Which words or phrases do you most overuse?: “Guarda second me…” (“Look, I think…”) at the beginning of a sentence. I always want to point out that what I am saying is my opinion, whether it is right or wrong.
Which talent would you most like to have?: I would like to be more patient. I don’t know if you could call that a talent, but I really appreciate it in others and I would like it to be part of my character.
Where would you most like to live?: I’ve wanted to live in Lisbon since I was a little girl. I think it’s a very beautiful and stimulating city, with a right mix of antiquity and desire to keep up with the times.
What do you most value in your friends?: A friend is someone who is always there. We might not speak for months, but when I need you I know I can count on you.
Who are your heroes in real life?: The biggest hero of my life is my grandmother: a self-made woman who has always put honesty and love before anything else. She has always given me everything I needed and made me feel unconditionally loved until the last moments, but most importantly she has passed me her values. If I could be anyone, I would be her.
What is your motto?: Vivi e lascia vivere (Live and let other live). Not very original, but it perfectly represents my point of view. I often don’t agree with the choices of those around me, but at the same time I am not interfering if it doesn’t concern me, and this is exactly what I would like from others.
