What is your idea of perfect happiness?: When grandparents babysit.
Which living person do you most admire?: There are many. Recently, I've been revisiting the seminal work of William Eggleston...his contributions to color photography are exceptional.
What is your greatest extravagance?: Overpriced vinyl records.
What is your current state of mind?: Anxiously optimistic.
What do you consider the most overrated virtue?: Prudence.
Which words or phrases do you most overuse?: It is what it is.
Which talent would you most like to have?: Musical virtuosity.
If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be?: I would be more improvisational and stop overthinking trivial decisions.
What do you consider your greatest achievement?: Three-peat as a father.
If you were to die and come back as a person or a thing, what would it be?: I don't know, death sounds kind of permanent.
Where would you most like to live?: In a vacation house.
What is your most treasured possession?: N95.
What is your favorite occupation?: I haven't decided yet.
What is your most marked characteristic?: Storytelling...so I'm told.
What do you most value in your friends?: Humility and humor.
Who are your favorite writers?: My six year old son, Fulton. He made it through kindergarten remotely, both spelling and grammar above grade level. A+.
Who is your hero of fiction?: Swamp Thing.
Who are your heroes in real life?: Essential workers.
