Sheila is originally from the Seattle area. She moved to New York for college in 2007 and never left. She graduated from Barnard in 2011 in Psychology and Biology. She then worked as an assistant in a pediatrician's office, went back to school for nursing, and started her career as a bedside RN in 2015 (acute care pediatrics and now PICU). While working, she went back to school for her master's in nursing to become a pediatric nurse practitioner. She just finished her pediatric coursework and has only one semester left to finish up her concentration in palliative care.
