What is your idea of perfect happiness? Sharing the same air as someone I love or respect, in a beautiful place away from the pressures of time

What is your greatest extravagance? Living in expensive London. After that, travel to far-flung places, then wine. Considering what I do, I don't actually spend very much money on stuff.

What is your current state of mind? Contemplative - I've just returned from a somewhat spiritual trip to Jordan and now I'm a calm vortex before the madness of London Design Festival begins.

Which talent would you most like to have? The ability to remember people's names

If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be? I'd like to be more patient but I have been consciously trying...

What do you consider your greatest achievement? I really don't know - great achievements are short-lived and rapidly replaced. I guess my very first book was my greatest achievement because I had the most to gain from it.

Where would you most like to live? This is something I ask myself frequently but can't find the answer

What is your favorite occupation? Driving through unknown wilderness with blaring music

What do you most value in your friends? Unconditional understanding

What is it that you most dislike? Male egos

What is your greatest regret? I refuse to live with regrets
