Alter-Projects Announces Sonic Bloom, A Multi-Sensory and Interactive Installation Designed and Conceived by Yuri Suzuki in The Heart of London
Multidisciplinary curatorial agency Alter-Projects presents Sonic Bloom, a community-focused, multi-sensory and interactive installation, designed by sound artist, designer, and electronic musician, Yuri Suzuki, and commissioned by The Grosvenor Estate. Located in Brown Hart Gardens, Mayfair, Sonic Bloom aims to rebuild the sense of community that was lost after a year of isolation, as well as bring a sense of vibrancy and excitement to the area.
Reflecting on how the Pandemic has redefined the way art and design can be experienced, putting limitations to it while at the same time democratising it, and on the way it has also redefined social interactions, Sonic Bloom explores communication in a universal, playful, and innovative way. Alter Projects and Yuri Suzuki envisioned an artwork that would act as a social catalyst, where people would feel prone to interact with the art and each other in a public space.
