Huntsman Savile Row Launches Letters from Confinement Competition
Huntsman Savile Row is delighted to announce the launch of their Letters From Confinement Competition, inviting entrants to put pen to paper and share their experiences during these times of isolation and social distancing. Huntsman believes the healing power of sharing emotions cannot be underestimated and hopes the creative outlet will not only record an extraordinary time in history but prove to bring communities together through the creative process of documenting a shared, yet wholly unique experience.
Inspired by Nick Farriella’s satirical letter from F. Scott Fitzgerald whilst quarantined in the South of France Huntsman’s owner Pierre Lagrange reached to celebrated writers and journalists Jay McInerney, Tara Westover, Niall Ferguson, Adam Grant, Leslie Bennetts, Alec Russell, Holly Peterson, Ali Wentworth, Nick Foulkes, Nick Niarchos, Graydon Carter, Cedric the Entertainer, June Sarpong, and Pi’erre Bourne as well as Tony Marx, President of the New York Public Library who all graciously accepted to form a panel to find the best letters from confinement.
The competition is a natural one for Huntsman with such literary notables as Ian Fleming, Gore Vidal, John Richardson all being lifelong clients. Huntsman invites all whether an already commended penman or a budding wordsmith in search of a new creative outlet to share their literary flair.
The deadline for entry is June 30, 2020 and the winning entry being announced this summer. The winning submission will receive a £1000/$1225 gift card to spend in-store, a night’s stay at Claridge’s hotel in London, as well as see their letter published on the Huntsman website and have it read by a surprise guest on Huntsman’s social media.
